Clements Dental Care is very proud of the long serving dedicated team that have been helping patients for many years.

Dr Michael Clements BDS (QUB) 1987, MSc

Principal Dentist

Dr Michael Clements qualified in 1987 at Queen’s University, Belfast and has been the principal Dentist in the practice since 1994. Although enjoying all aspects of clinical dentistry, Michael has a particular interest in Restorative dentistry with an emphasis on composite restorations, root canal and minimally invasive dentistry.

During his career, Dr Clements has worked in private practice both in Australia and Northern Ireland. He is a keen advocate of education and life long learning and gained his Masters degree in Clinical Education in 2018. He has also worked with NIMDTA as an educational supervisor since 1997.

Outside of the dental practice, Michael is a keen golfer and cyclist and also enjoys reading and going to the movies.

Dr Andrea Currie BSc, BDS (QUB) 2004

Associate Dentist

Dr Andrea Currie qualified in 2004 from Queen’s University, Belfast. She joined the practice as a Foundation Dentist and is now our Senior Associate. Andrea has experience in all areas of general dental care, serving her patients for over 20 years now. She continues to undertake professional development recently becoming a certified Invisalign provider and attending composite bonding workshops. She has been a member of charity teams to Ethiopia providing dental care to school children and also enjoys spending time with her young family.

Dr Shannon J Clements BDS (QUB) 2018, MFDS RCPS (Glasg)

Dr Shannon Clements graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in June 2018. Michael is delighted to have her as part of the family practice. She is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow. Shannon enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in both Restorative dentistry and Oral Surgery.

Outside of work Shannon is passionate about music. She is also a keen cyclist and avid fan of the Tour de France.

Dr Edison Fairfield BDS (QUB) 2022

Dr Edison Fairfield has worked at Clements Dental Care ever since he qualified from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2022. He has greatly benefited from Michael’s expert supervisory training and takes after Michael’s careful patient-centred approach.

Edison enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in composite restorations and minimally invasive dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Edison loves to travel around the world and is heavily involved in church activities.

All the surgery staff are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
